This workshop invites you to get creative: design a poster, Instagram post, or Reel that raises awareness for the protection of lapwings, touches people, and inspires action. The best entry wins a prize.
The lapwing used to be so common here that its wild-collected eggs were sold at the market. Today it is severely threatened. In the Freisinger Moos, only 45 breeding pairs remain, so its wild dances in the sky have become rare.
Lapwings nest on the ground in wide, open meadows. Walkers, dogs, kites, and drones disturb the birds. When the parent birds flee, the eggs or chicks are in danger. Many people still do not know this. Your contribution can help change that.
