Land is not a commodity. The soil under our feet is as essential as the air we breathe and the water we drink. A handful of healthy soil contains more organisms than there are people on Earth. It is the source of our food, stores water and CO2, and is therefore one of our foundations of life.

Yet more and more farmland is becoming an object of speculation. Monocultures, over-fertilization, and pesticides threaten biodiversity, while committed people have less and less access to affordable land.

In this talk, you will learn why this development affects us all and how we can change it. Using the Biohof Naturgarten Schönegge as an example, it shows how ecological farming can emerge anew.
