Alexander Wittges Trio feat. Tobias Eschenbacher

When the Alexander Wittges Trio takes the stage, musical passion meets sensitive improvisation. Founded in 2025, the trio stands for soulful and dynamic interpretations of jazz standards as well as original compositions by Alexander Wittges. At the piano, Wittges combines lyrical playing with rhythmic sophistication and a noticeable closeness to the vibrant Bavarian jazz scene. Korbinian Renner on bass provides the harmonic foundation with clear tone and stylistic versatility, while Manuela Klausz on drums opens up the sonic space with a fine sense of timing, groove and dynamics. For the Uferlos Festival, the trio expands to include singer Tobias Eschenbacher. After stints in various formations - most recently until 2012 in the regular line-up of the "Shakers Bluesband", he took an extended break. As a self-confessed Sinatra lover, he interprets classics with a sonorous voice and a wink.
